We create a more resilient and sustainable agricultural ecosystem
Thanks to human action and elements management, the agricultural ecosystem is vastly different from that in untouched nature. By studying natural ecosystems, we can gain a greater understanding of the complex interaction between the living world and the environment in a certain area. By applying this knowledge, we can better understand the relationships between factors in an agricultural ecosystem (agroecosystem) and more wisely choose interventions to support its resilience and sustainability, which is the goal of the science we call agroecology. ZMAG strives to contribute to the dissemination of knowledge about the application of agroecology through the organization of permaculture design courses, organic gardening, beekeeping, and mushroom cultivation workshops, and through the activities of the Community Seed Bank.
The Our Good Food project seeks to improve the knowledge and the visibility of food sovereignty and agroecology in Croatia as interconnected and overlapping concepts, which is why it pays great attention to the promotion and the education on the subject of good food, but also to supporting real examples through networking and knowledge sharing.

It aims to contribute to the strengthening and improvement of the local seed system and the preservation of the greatest possible diversity of cultivated plants, with an emphasis on traditional and indigenous varieties. Greater crop diversity and the use of own seeds in the long run means greater resilience and adaptability of agroecosystems to biological and environmental challenges, and is therefore important for organic agriculture.
