Wood is one of the most widespread natural materials that man has used since time immemorial. To know how to use it properly, we need to understand its life cycle and technical features. Carpentry work includes the selection of timber, preparation, processing and installation of construction wooden elements in buildings. In the workshops, we demonstrate various types of wooden constructions on the Recycled Estate in Vukomerić, and basic carpentry joints. We learn how to make stencils, support scissors, grooves, grips and construction supports. We get acquainted with the tools needed for woodworking. A special emphasis in the workshops is given to the making of wooden structures for houses from baled straw.
