Natural building

We build naturally and energy efficiently

Natural building involves the use of local, natural and recycled materials whose production has a low environmental footprint and does not require a high share of industrial processing. The most common construction materials are straw, wood, stone, earth, brick, hemp, sheep wool, and reed.

Natural building takes care of energy efficiency using renewable energy sources for the functioning of buildings It does so by relying on a rich construction tradition and modern green technologies.

At ZMAG, we conduct numerous educations in the field of natural building: one-day workshops, project mentoring, supervision, consulting, the Natural Building Academy, the Natural Building Convention, the Natural Building Festival and humanitarian building actions.
