ZMAG operates as one of nine Centres of Knowledge for social development in Croatia, in the field of sustainable living and permaculture development.
From 1st of January 2013, ZMAG has reached an agreement on cooperation with the National Foundation for Civil Society Development. This cooperation continues successfully this year as well. Our work includes a wide range of theoretical and practical workshops for interested audiences and the dissemination of knowledge of sustainable living and permaculture.
We maintain continuous cooperation with numerous schools throughout Croatia, where through non-institutional education we teach children the practical application of sustainable living both in and outside the classroom. From the beginning of 2016 to the end of 2017, in cooperation with the City of Velika Gorica, we were implementing the project School as a space for designing sustainable development. This year we will organize three 72-hour courses open to the public.
Our activities include the organization of public events such as Permaculture Day, the Conference on Good Economy and public lectures throughout Croatia.
The organization also works in the field of policy making - for example last year we participated in the creation of curricular reform for the Republic of Croatia as leads in the interdisciplinary subject Sustainable Development.
